RnB Divas LA and Bruno Mars

I know I've been sporadic in my blogging, but I have been busy with the world outside of YBBG.

For the past few months I've had the pleasure of reviewing shows at TWC Arena in Charlotte. Most recently, I checked out Bruno Mars and his opening act, Fitz and the Tantrums...but I will get to that later.

First let me get into something else related to music... RnB Divas LA. Y'all know I am a reality show junky, but since I don't have TV, I have to catch everything online. The only thing I will say about RnB Divas LA is the following:

1. My sister was right all along about Chante Moore...That lady has an amazing voice!
2. Lil Mo aka Cynthia can go to TEN quick, but she's funny as heck on the way there.
3. Maybe Claudette Ortiz is B. Scott's long lost sister...side note B. Scott and I went to college together, and when I knew him he had a bald head and went by his government name.

4. Dawn worries me...something is a bit unsettling about her and her "eccentric" boyfriend.
5. Michelle' is an interesting fun spirited character,
6. And finally...Kelly "I'm booked" Price. What in the world has damaged her so that her entire being is filled with acid and vinegar? I don't know where her hostility comes from, but for the sake of her brand...she may want to adjust her attitude.

That's all I got for that...

In other music news, Kanye West put his little one out in the public sphere. Here's little North West....I still don't believe that's her real name....

And back to Bruno Mars

Mind you... I had heard of Bruno Mars, but that is almost the extent of my knowledge. My photographer had to fill me in on his music. Let me just say...Interesting things happened before the show even started...

We are standing at Will Call waiting to pick up the tickets Atlantic Records had left for us to review the show. A security guard approaches asking if we need tickets because a lady outside had given her free passes to give to someone. Of course we said, thanks but someone else could probably use them.

Oddly enough a mom and daughter a couple of people ahead of us in line, happened to have been scammed by some scalpers. We didn't know until the security guard had walked off. So unfortunately their chance at free tickets was only a couple feet away.

Anyway, while we waited on the show we noticed that a large portion of Bruno's fans are old. I don't mean auntie age, but OLDER than that! I was shocked by his audience's makeup....a bunch of older non-minorities lol

Oh...and why did this one lady start arguing with security and get thrown out?

Anyway the show was cool
