The Best Man Holiday will shake all of your emotions

Flyer for #BestManHoliday

Thanks to my blogging pal at Blitz And Glam, I had an opportunity to catch an advanced screening of The Best Man Holiday with Tam, Nikki Panache and an old colleague who is friends with Tam.

My plan was to arrive early to the Regal at Stonecrest theater, but I got caught in traffic. It was raining and snowing here in Charlotte, and some people don't know how to drive!!

But luckily they held the screening due to the conditions and I did not miss a thing!

I remember when The Best Man originally debuted some years ago. I was still in college and had an opportunity to meet Morris Chestnut as he promoted the film. I had to flirt with a security guard so as not to pay the $5.00 per head shot to get an autograph LOL. I think I ended up with about four head shots and a hug from Morris. Ha!

Anyway...back to The Best Man Holiday. I promised my lawyer friend KJ that I would not reveal a lot of what happened in the movie, so there will be no spoilers.

I'll just say this...You will laugh, cry...cry harder...laugh crying...and cry laughing.

For the ladies: Morris shows off his washboard abs and is still gorgeous looking like a delectable Hershey's bar!!! Whew lawd!!

For the fellas: The ladies held up well. Nia is absolutely gorgeous and hasn't aged a bit.

The Best Man Holiday allows you to catch up with Jordan, Lance, Mia, Julian, Quentin, Harper, Robin, Shelby and Candice. They have all moved on to very successful lives, except one of them, who is falling on hard times. (Can you guess which one???) Oh and there are children galore! These folks have been busy! lol

There are a few flash back moments and some low down dirty secrets that come flying out. The Best Man Holiday did not change the character of the characters. Quentin is still slick (and who knew Terrance Howard had so much rhythm?! He kills the New Edition diddy...). Shelby is sill nasty. (What her character has been up to is very fitting...) Everyone is very familiar and it makes you feel as though you are reconnecting with people you have not seen in a while.

Oh and there's a new guy in town, Brian Mac...he's Jordan's boo thang and his dimples are sooooo...mmmm....

It may be because I've watched The Best Man so many times, but I felt so connected to the characters. I am not a movie crier, but I cried really hard in this one. I laughed just as hard. The Best Man Holiday made me think about what and who's most important to me.

Sequels are not usually that great, but this one is fantastic. The Best Man Holiday is not all jokes, it takes you through some serious life changes with each of the characters and will set your emotions on edge! I was a balling mess! I was exhausted after the movie. I had been on an emotional roller coaster.

Typically I'm in the middle when it comes to movies, but you should definitely go see this one and take a few friends...guys and gals. Hug them a little closer and love them a little better. What happens in this film will make you think about those in your circle and how petty seemingly major things could be.

Overall I LOVED IT!!!
