YBBG Christmas wish list
I play Ms. Santa Claus every year. This year I'm making a Christmas list!
For MYSELF! Uh uhn...don't judge me...shhhhhhhhh and keep reading lol
The big thing about Christmas is not Santa or Gifts, but the love of Jesus. People receive and feel love differently. I try to go out of my way to bring about smiles to people's faces during the holidays. I have done this for several years no matter what my own financial situation was at the time. I often made sacrifices that people did not know I made in order to bring joy to them on birthdays, holidays or whatever the case may have been. I always want the people around me to feel loved by me.
I haven't been big on receiving gifts...due to people being oblivious to my wants. LOL
The funny thing is I don't really complain about either not receiving gifts or getting things I don't want. But, I do remember...Look...I'm a Capricorn and we hold grudges...LMBO... It is rare that you find anyone who can say: This is what YBBG wants for her birthday, Christmas, or just because.
The difference is I actually take the time to study the wants and needs people have, so I typically get it close to right. On rare occasions I can be waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyy off...like for my homegirl's birthday this past year...I think I kinda went way off.
I felt kind of bad because she was spot on with my birthday gift this year. She bought me a stuffed puppy! (Thanks again sister-friend!!!) I was thrilled! Why? Because I said I wanted a puppy possibly. And I love stuffed animals. I have always loved stuffed animals more than anything. (I know they are kiddie...but don't judge me! I still love stuffed animals!).
I had stuffed animals that were won at the fair that I kept for years. I had a stuffed raccoon named Roscoe that my uncle (by marriage) won me at the fair. Lawd I loved that raccoon to death...literally...he started falling apart. Then there was Chilli the blue koala that someone else won for me at Carowinds or somewhere... (Don't ask me why I remember these things...lawd...is that weird? LOL)
It isn't the size of the gift that matters, it is that someone actually listens to and appreciates you. I dated a guy once who was so very attentive. He knew I loved candles and chocolate. So every single week he would bring me candles and chocolate. Sometimes it would be as simple as a CRUNCH bar and a scented candle. That was enough...it was that he listened and followed through that mattered.

Will I buy things for other people this year? Of course. It wouldn't be me if I didn't. I actually love making people happy. But this year...I'm going to also be a little selfish.
