YBBG thrifting?

I recently did something that I have never voluntarily done. I went thrifting... That's what people with money they call it these days when you shop at GW fashions aka +Goodwill Industries International, Inc.  .

Let me be honest...the thought of buying someone else's old clothing used to make me cringe. I'm still trying to get over the notion that someone had the blazers pictured below before I did.

So my thrifting adventure started out slowly with the purchase of household nicnacks and art. I've purchased unique lamps from a thrift store before, but can't recall ever purchasing clothing.

My mama is an avid "thrifter" and has often had good finds. On my trip to purchase the blazers I was with her. She found a baaaaaad red trench coat.

My photographer is also an avid thrifter. One day she showed me this really dope blazer she found and I grew a little interested in this whole thrifting idea. Then to top it off it cost less than five bucks...I was semi sold.

So when I spent the day with my mama and we hit up the mall our next stop was GW Fashions...

After peering around the place, which was absolutely crowded, I decided to take a look at the blazers. It is Fall and blazers are extremely essential to my Fall wardrobe.

The light blue one was unique to me so I grabbed it. I liked the black one because I recently purchased a pencil skirt from Nordstrom rack that will look great with it.   Then if I'm going to start back wearing jeans, the tan one will do well with some dark washed denim.

So there ya have it. I don't know when I will go thrifting again...but we shall see.

I will post the two dresses and skirt I snagged from +Nordstrom Rack  in a separate post.

Have you ever gone thrifting? What was it like and what did you get?
