Evelyn Lozada's engagement proves men and women are not so different

Evelyn Lozada has been engaged at least three times, maybe more. She has been married once and it lasted less than two months. Men want to marry her.

Evelyn Lozada, publicly, is everything men tell women they shouldn't be if they want to ever get a ring. She's loud and combative, she wears tons of makeup and weave, she's money motivated (read: gold digger ), she's a single mother, and she is promiscuous...but men still want to marry her...

How is that possible? Oh...I will tell you how...

Men are not as different from women as they would like you to believe, when it comes to love and relationships at the base. Oh, people say men are from  Mars and women from Venus, but the truth is we just live right down the block from each other and take different turns to get to the same street. Evelyn has figured that out, apparently. 

Here's a secret: men are vulnerable...and a woman who taps into that vulnerability will snag that dude. Evelyn has great bait. She keeps herself together physically so she taps into their sexual vulnerability. Evelyn is loud and combative, so she taps into their fears, thus creating vulnerability.  Evelyn is emotional and plays up the damsel in distress role, so she taps into their protective vulnerability. Evelyn is (or was...depends on what you're shown) savvy and manipulative, so she taps into their mental vulnerabilities.

People want to be accepted as they are, and have someone believe they are great people. No one wants to be reminded of their deficiencies so they seek out people who are not constant reminders of their ineptitude. Evelyn's public persona has enough skeletons pouring out of her closet that she can't make any guy feel like he's unworthy. It is great bait. She is transparent...and shows all her rattling bones, so they don't feel uncomfortable with her.

So she gives guys a safe place. A nurturing place...now that place may become the pits of hell when she feels like it...but that's part of the charm. She is a constant challenge.

Now, these are all assumptions from me. I don't even know this lady. This is just what she puts out there. What I read from her public persona is: master manipulator. 

Shoot she even has relationship guru Tony Gaskins singing her praises...yet she's doing everything he tells his followers they shouldn't do: jumping from one relationship to the next, having sex before marriage, rushing into commitment without time to heal. 

Here she is: pregnant by another man, who has a five month old and nine year old with another woman, shortly after divorcing her husband...yet Gaskins says she's reaping the benefits of following his advice.  Say what now? LOL 

Evelyn has Satan's PR team I swear...jokes... She has managed to turn into the Hollywood version of a wife and mother (think June Cleaver and the like) to folks who were once saying she was the ring leader to the destruction of minority women and girls.

She has the formula: Be the kind of woman people feel are untamable...let him feel like he's the only one who can take you (boost his ego)...find a man who either has the ego that makes him take the challenge (Chad Johnson) or one who has a cape and thinks he can save you (side eying Carl...) lol

Men, like women, often flock to people who really need them. A man will chase a woman and do what's necessary to have her even when it's to his detriment IF SHE makes him feel like he's accomplishing something. Building something. Having something. 

Too many people see marriage as a title and an accomplishment. Thus all the praises and put downs surrounding a person's marital status. Marriage doesn't automatically change the character of a person, but a person's character can impact the quality of his or her marriage.

Evelyn doesn't become an angel or role model because a man gives her a ring...she's who she is to that man who gave it to her. Nothing more and nothing less.
