Water your own grass

Maybe the grass looks greener on the
other side of the fence because you aren't
maintaining your own grass.

I stopped in for a quick pedicure today. A lady sitting across from me became chatty about her life and relationship. I still don't know why people do that. She said she doesn't really want to get married to her boyfriend of 4 years, she's too happy with the way things are now and doesn't want to compromise. She's 57, but looks like she's late 30s early 40s no lie...I was shocked, and was married for 19 years.

Why do people forego growing old together?

Her ex husband decided he didn't want to be married any more in their 40s and went out to find himself a 30 year old. He told her he was no longer attracted to her. Fast forward, ex-husband is ill with a chronic and potentially terminal illness, and his parents are taking care of him. His hot 30 year old is long gone.

The lady saw her ex at their son's recent wedding and he just went on and on about how great she looks. Her black hasn't cracked...seriously, I thought she was no older than 40! 

After going through the divorce, this lady went back to school and became a nurse. Isn't that ironic? She works in the healthcare field and her ex-husband needs medical care. He left her for a thirty year old and she looks like she's in her thirties...now...at 57!

I'm sure her ex-husband regrets his decision. But the sad thing is, I could see that she regrets his decision too. She's with a gentleman in a relationship now, but doesn't want to remarry.
