Lavida Massage Charlotte

I have been so wrapped up in work work work lately, that I became increasingly stressed out. Writing is always a release for me, but I needed something more. Quite some time ago I purchased an hour long aroma therapy massage deal from Living Social for Lavida Massage.

It was about to expire in a couple of weeks, so I finally decided to use it!  Best decision I've made in a long time. I loved Lavida Massage in Charlotte. I have been to at least four different spas in the area. My favorite is the spa at Ballantyne Hotel, but Lavida Massage is a very very close second.

I chose an eucalyptus aroma and my massage therapist was Barb. I'm glad that when they do the intake they ask you where you do not want to be massaged. Let me tell you I had a funny/weird experience at a spa a few years ago:
While living in Durham, I had a three day birthday celebration. Part of the festivities included a spa day for a group of my gal pals. It was my first professional massage, so I was excited.
I had this masseur who I was comfortable with because well...I thought he was friendly and cool. We chatted and he told me how things would go. Then everything was cool...until he started breathing all loudly and making noises as he gave me the massage. Now...this was my first time remember...and I'm like WTH?
I swear I was more tense after the massage than before. I left the room puzzled. When some of my pals finished their session with this fool, they felt the same way. I never revisited that establishment. Eck!
Anyway, my experience at Lavida was great. So relaxing that I fell asleep several times. I woke up laughing a couple of times because I heard myself "calling the hogs" aka snoring. Shamefully when I am exhausted I snore! I know that is not cute to say, but it's the truth! (Is there really a cute way to say you snore sometimes? I don't think there is...but if you can come up with something....let a chica know!)

I appreciate Barb not saying anything about the snoring LOL.
