Election aftermath

This young lady shocked some of her Facebook
friends with her racially motivated postings....

Let me address the foolishness that is the aftermath of this election. For everyone breathing fire and pissing gasoline because President Obama was reelected...GET OVER IT.  I have not seen or heard so much use of the word Nigger since I watched Mississippi Burning back in the day. Then all of you preparing for the Apocalypse??? I cannot deal! All because a man you don't like (for whatever reason you can drum up that makes sense to you...) got elected.

As one guy from my hometown told one of his Facebook friends, do what Black people have done every time the guy they didn't vote for got elected...get up, go to work, and carry on.

I'm going to have enough of talking about this election and get back to business. I just signed up to volunteer with the Salvation Army working with children, and I have a law practice to get moving...

But my sister called me very sad this morning at the reaction some people are having to President Obama being reelected. Shoot some folks I went to high school with up and blocked me on Facebook.  But for what? I barely ever post on FB and when I do I get my point across and keep it moving. I don't care that we disagree... it is okay. But my goodness can you heal some of that venom you're carrying inside?

I do not like it when my sister is upset...it hurts me. And we spoke about how people we've known for yours pop up with crazy rantings that target a group to which we belong and all of a sudden we have to give them the side eye...well I don't...because I already feel people hide their true feelings until something like this goes down and they feel they have to pick a side....

If you believe how you believe, you should be strong enough in that belief that when faced with opposing viewpoints you can respectfully disagree and move on.

Tonight America voted to become a debtor nation. The republic has been over run by the by the welfare state. We are on a path to socialism.
I feel like many Americans voted for what they could get from Obama, not in the best interest of the country.
Have you ever considered that your feelings could be wrong? That people voted for Obama for the same reasons u voted 4 Romney?
I can't see how a double down on Obama isn't about entitlements.

It makes no sense that you spend all this time trying to convince the world that a man is evil and ignorant, only to have a majority of people tell you they believe differently, then you get pissed. It is ridiculous.

But that said, I like people who are real about how they feel, because if they err in their feelings (which is possible, on both sides), it can be addressed and dealt with accordingly...and in a loving manner.
