Scream we want prenup

The Sanders didn't even look happy in happier times.

You remember that show Football Wives on VH1? I remember I got into a little internet tiff with some of the cast members.  They were going in on Pilar Sanders, and I said you don't know what that woman is going through behind closed doors, so don't be so quick to think you know somebody. Now here Pilar is having lost her husband in a very public way. I don't know whose fault it was, but I am always sad to see a marriage end.

Anyway, that brings me to the Sanders and their divorce. Would you sign a prenuptial agreement? Most people think it is crazy to sign one. I'm sure Pilar Sanders regrets signing her prenuptial agreement with that hard faced Deion Sanders...

Allegedly Pilar will end up getting about $168,000.00 per year plus $1,000.000.00

Pilar will get $10,500.00 per month in child support and $3,500.00 toward her mortgage. Then $1,000,000.00 according to their prenuptial agreement.

Pilar initially argued that parts of the prenuptial agreement was forged and that she signed the rest under duress (legal term for he stressed her and pressed her to sign).

I actually did a radio show (two to be exact) about prenuptial agreements.  Nobody wants to sign them...just like no one wants a will. But when things flip on you, you might want to rethink things.

For example, a lady wrote into a legal site saying she wanted to leave her home to her children, as she has a terminal illness. She does not have a will as yet, but had the home before she and her husband married. Sadly, in NC, even if she had a will, the husband would still be able to keep the home.

So how do you handle situations like this? I know people think prenuptial agreements equal getting nothing. But not really. Nor do they mean you don't trust your spouse.

You could just get your affairs in order so there won't be any issues surrounding money and finances. What do you think?
