YBBG on makeup

I was up at the buttcrack of dawn, and since I couldn't get back to sleep...


I started watching one of my favorite YouTube folk's videos: PlusSizeKimonica.  I started watching her videos a while ago when I searched for smoothie recipes. The lady has lost close to 200 lbs! AMAZING!

Anyway, she is also a bargain shopper like moi! I stumbled upon her makeup videos...and began thinking...

I know absolutely nothing about makeup. I don't really EVER wear makeup. I love lip gloss and that's about it. But I always love the makeup I see people wearing.

Professionally made up.
From almost two years ago.

I've had my makeup professionally done a few times. Once long ago when I did a little modeling when I was in high school. Then for my best friend's wedding. And lastly for a photo shoot I did almost two years ago.

The few attempts I've tried to do my own makeup haven't been major fails, but they weren't great either. I honestly just cannot get into it. I didn't play in my mama's makeup growing up. I was outside playing in the dirt or fighting with the boy who lived next door. I was a serious tomboy and never wanted to walk around looking like a clown.

When you see me, I am usually barefaced. Even at this point, I usually put on tinted lip balm from Burt's Bees or their lip gloss. I think I'm just lazy when it comes to some things. LOL

I like looking as close to natural and not done up as possible... But makeup has a way of transforming a person...Look at this chick with her "natural" makeup look LOL

Honestly...I need help in the makeup department. I think makeup helps me look older. I think I look like a youngin a lot of times, and I'm a tall chick at that. I cannot tell you how many times people have asked "what school do you go to?" Like this older gent at the gas station the other day.

He saw my alumni tag on the back of my car and said, "How long have you been out of school? Two years?" I said, "Ummm...No! Much longer than that!" LOL

Anyway... What makeup tips do you have for me? Who taught you how to use makeup?
