Five things men have forgotten how to do

We need you to act like, think like, and dress like
grown men.
Sure this blog is geared toward giving men an opportunity to voice their opinions, and for women to learn a few things.

HOWEVER...as I do have guy friends that I genuinely love, I often offer them some advice as well...

And sometimes ladies just need to get some things off our chests too. So that's what this particular post is about.

Basically...some guys are slacking.  I mean seriously under performing when it comes to dating, love and relationships...I mean, not MY homeboys...they all stay on point...After all they have me in their corner to tell them to straighten up! :)

Some of you fellas need to find a good PLATONIC female friend to chin check your arse from time to time! Because you stay on some other stuff... So if you don't have one...I'll take one for the team and do it for ya!

Read below for 5 Things Men have forgotten how to do

HERE ARE THE FIVE THINGS WOMEN FEEL YOU HAVE FORGOTTEN HOW TO DO!

1.  COURT US

I know you have been getting away with "kickin it" and making a woman chase you for a while now.  You get by with turning a potential mate into a booty call.  You've become comfortable not paying for dates or treating a woman like a lady.  Yeah, you think every woman wants to be treated like she's expendable, and you're doing her a service by being seen in public with her.

*NEWSFLASH* That says a lot about the caliber of man YOU are.  Basically, if you don't know how to seek out a lady and court her...you are not much of a man. Remember men are SUPPOSED to be the leaders, the conquerors, the predators.  When you put a woman in the position of chasing you, you become prey... Ummm yeah...so you should have no pride atall when you do stuff like that. That's just not manly, sweety.

Learn the ways of a gentleman.  Seek out women who you consider ladies, and treat them as such.  That means:
  • Ask her out and pay for the date.
  • Walk her to her door.
  • Pull out her chair.
  • Approach her with some dignity and respect.
2.  CALL

Ok, I know technology makes it easy to not do this, but it really helps when you pick up the phone. ESPECIALLY when you say you're going to do so.

And no, don't just call when you want something or "some", call to check on her to see how her day is going.  It doesn't have to be a long conversation, but a little attention will go a long way.  Trust me on this.

Yes, sometimes we talk too much. But if you call enough like you say you will, it will cut down on some of the yapping! :)

3.  COMMIT

We had this long discussion the other night at the relationship forum.  When do you know you're in a relationship? You know why this is even a question? Because a lot of women will give their all to a guy, only to be left high and dry.

There are many reasons why you won't commit.  I understand that. BUT that does not give you the right to use a woman up who wants commitment from you.  If you don't want to commit, be man enough to leave the woman alone.  Using someone for your own selfish desires is never good. EVER (trust me, I've done it before...so ummm...yeah..lol...but this isn't about me...)

You can simply walk away before she becomes bitter and scorned and you're sitting on four flats with a tire jack through your window...

4.  COMMUNICATE

Surely, we communicate differently, but that shouldn't stop you from communicating altogether. If you can spend ten hours each week playing Madden '11 or hanging out with the fellas, you can spend some time bonding with your woman and communicating your thoughts.

Yes, sometimes we don't listen well... I know it can be frustrating, but you should still put up the effort.  You don't have to communicate verbally always.  Show her how you feel by communicating through word and deed.

Trust us enough to share what you are going through. We are here to help. Trust your own judgment enough to know that you've chosen a good woman to share everything with.

5. CARRY YOURSELF LIKE A GENTLEMAN

That means in your attire, your manners and your actions.  Dressing like a teenager when you're 25+ is not attractive!! You should have some grown man about yourself.  That means get your suit game tight and keep your appearance together.

Stop cussing around women like that is attractive. There was a time when men would never utter an expletive around a woman.  And definitely never address a woman as though you hate her! I mean come on now... I mean some heiffas like that foolishness, but a lady will not and should not. And at no time should you just randomly reach out and touch a woman you don't know unless it is to lend a helping hand.  Every woman's name isn't Diamond, and everywhere you go is not Magic City or King of Diamonds... Get it together!

Get your act together.  Stop acting like a child and grow up.  You're a man...women shouldn't be sponsoring you on any level.  If you still depend on some woman to pay your bills, wash your clothes, and stand in the place of your mama... That's a crying shame and you shouldn't even have enough nerve to want to date anybody... SMH
