Catfish on MTV

MTv's new reality show: Catfish is about online dating. |
I was introduced to a show called "Catfish" on MTv by my fellow blogger over at theMofoChronicles.com.
So I finally watched Catfish online. And WOW!!! The show I watched centers around "Trina" and a guy named "Scorpio" who appears in the video below. Scorpio is apparently a dancer in Atlanta. "Trina" (I don't know if she uses her real name on the show) is a dancer in Maryland.
Trina contacts Nev to help her meet her online boo. Nev is a dude who appeared in the movie Catfish, a documentary about how he got duped by a 40 year old woman online with whom he fell in love and found out she was not who she said she was. Nev now does Catfish the show for MTV, where he chronicles the lives of online loves who have yet to meet.
Trina is in love with Scorpio aka Lee Avent, with whom she has been communicating for over a year. The two have never met face to face and she is ready to get it popping. They've even discussed marriage. Lee and Trina met on Myspace...

Trina and Nev from MTv on Facebook |
She has only seen three pictures of him, yet Trina has sent tons of pics to him. Nev meets Trina, then he and his buddy Max (the camera guy) do a little research. Somehow they reverse searched the pics that Trina saw on Myspace, and found out they belong to a guy named Larry Drummer... errrrhhhhhhhh...
Larry Drummer is on Facebook with a whole lot of pictures...candid ones at that...but no Lee Avent. So they break it to Trina...she's a little shocked. Eventually Nev talks to Lee on the phone and finds out that Lee has four children, and is living in DC, not Atlanta. Lee told Trina he had 2 children...
Anyway...watch the episode to see what actually went down...
THANKS TO ANONYMOUS WHO COMMENTED BELOW FOR THE INFO ON LEE AVENT
Lee Avent is apparently married or was, and has four children. His wife's name is Carmen and they did in fact do an appearance on Divorce Court.
This does beg the question: Is Catfish real?
Comments

Now after you spilled this tea...I went searching myself and found a cached copy of Lee Avent's appearance on Divorce Court. The original link didn't work.
