Charles Ramsey helped free three woman kidnapped in Ohio

Charles Ramsey may become the next Sweet Brown... but he's also a hero! Three Ohio women were kidnapped by an Ohio bus driver, and he helped free them. Ramsey first came into contact with Amanda Berry and her 9 year old daughter by the alleged kidnapper.

According to NBCNews:

Ramsey told reporters he he had barbecued with the 52-year-old man who lived in the house. Police said that the man and two of his brothers, ages 50 and 54, had been arrested.
There were more surprises to come for Ramsey, other neighbors and the police. Also found in the house were Gina DeJesus, 23, who had been missing for nine years, and Michelle Knight, 30, who had been missing for 11 years.
I heard about Ramsey from FlyTyOnAir's Instagram:

flytyonairFirst it was Antoine Dodson "Hide ya kids, hide ya wife", then it was Sweet Brown "Aint nobody got time fo dat", now CHARLES RAMSEY! "A pretty white girl, running in a black man arms, I knew somethong was wrong, bro" He freed Amanda Berry missing for 10yrs. But his interview was #priceless OMG He will be the next Youtube sensation! LOL!

There was a time when I would cringe at news stories like this. Why? Because they always showed Black people at their worst. Then I realized something, these people are having traumatic experiences...if someone will look at them and find fault, the fault really lies in the people viewing, not the people being viewed.

THE 911 Call:

Sweet Brown, though funny, is also a very smart lady. I listened to her interview with a few stations after the incident that turned her into a household name. Sometimes all a person needs is an opportunity for better to come into their lives. No, not everyone will become an internet sensation and have throngs of adoring fans.

But we can stop looking at other people with disdain just because they don't fit into a picture that we deem is acceptable. Charles Ramsey is a hero, no matter how people may judge his appearance or what he had to say. Shoot, we should celebrate his existence...if not for him, those three women may still be locked away in a madman's house.

Sweet Brown became famous after a news report
became a YouTube sensation. It also happened with
Antoine Dodson.
