Natural hair shopping

This is an old pic of me after washing my hair. LOL

Hey people! I'm back! Yes, I took a week off from blogging.  But I decided to come back with some new things.  You know I have a bad shopping habit, but I've become wise in my old age.  I shop consciously now, and I budget wisely.

I know...I know, this blog is about relationships...but that doesn't stop at relationships with other people.  It also includes relationships with your money and your health and beauty.

I told you before, if you want to attract and keep a guy who will treat you well, you must also treat yourself well.  So be mindful of how you spend your money and what you do to your body.

Anywho... I wanted to tell you about some products I use.  I'm going to do a separate post on some skin care products I tried out from Burts Bees.  But first I want to talk about hair.

As you can see from my photo in the background, I am au naturale in the hair department.  When I first went natural, I didn't know what the heck I was doing.  I became a product junkie.  I tried everything from Carol's Daughter to Miss Jessies to Mixed Chicks to Giovanni to Cantu to blah blah blah.  Basically I spent a lot of money on a lot of stuff.  Most of which I never even finished using.

Then one day, I went to a site called Butters-N-Bars, and honey!!!!!! I never turned back.  I'm serious.  I have a very simple hair regimine.  I follow the #naturalhair hashtag on Twitter and people are doing all kinds of things. I don't do half as much, and my hair is growing and healthy.

I use two companies when it comes to hair care. Burt's Bees (you can now order directly from their site! I'm thrilled about this!) and Butters N Bars. I just happened to try out Burt's Bees when I saw the Shampoo and Conditioner in Wal-mart. I rave about it!  (The products on both sites are for everyone interested in being as natural as possible! Go Green!)

And nope, neither site is paying me to say this...they do not sponsor my blog (maybe they will later...I'm just saying!! LOL)  But I honestly love the products.  Oh and for you lovers of YBBG, I have a treat for you from Butters-N-Bars!!  When shopping www.butters-n-bars.com use the Promo Code YBBG and get 10% off your order! (You know I had to pull something for you guys! I appreciate your support!)

THE PRODUCTS I USE:

Burt's Bees Grapefruit and Sugar Beet  Super Shiny Shampoo and Conditioner: I only wish I could buy larger bottles of the conditioner. I run through it because I love it so much. In the summer I cowash every day almost. (Not suggesting you do the same...). The price point is 8 bucks, so it is a lot cheaper than some of the aforementioned products.  But again, I use so much so 8 quickly turns into 36! LOL But with the shampoo, I only use a little bit with each wash. 1 bottle lasted over five months! And I shampoo my hair once a week.

I use Grapefruit and Sugar Beet, but I'm definitely going to try more!

Butters-N-Bars:  The prices are extremely reasonable, and a little dab will do ya. So you get your money's worth.  The products ship rather quickly, and they are good with communicating any delays.
