Male perspective on Basketball Wives

Suzie, Royce, Tami, Shaunie, Evelyn, Jennifer, Meeka (l-r)

If y'all don't realize by now. Men watch Basketball Wives, just like we do.  Some initially deny it, but then you might catch them saying something about one of the chicks and you're like wait a minute...Ummm... Well anyway, I had a conversation today that was so hilarious to me.  Be mindful that these thoughts are not necessarily the views, thoughts, or opinions of the Creator of this blog.  (But I do feel him on a lot of what he said...lol)... Anywho, this is what the gentleman had to say about the show!
(check out what he had to say after the jump!)

Did you watch that reunion?  Meeka had a lot of ammo she could have used against all them chicks, and I was waiting for her to come on out with it.

Jen: A woman with an agenda.  She knows when she met Eric what she was in it for, and he did too.  Why else is she going to run up on dude with that unicorn horn growing out of his head.  He knew what she was doing.   And she knew with what he had, he was living a lifestyle that let him get chicks left and right, and she ain't have no problem with it.  She gets up with him and starts doing businesses and all this stuff off of his dime, like it was hers and now all of a sudden she wants somebody to feel sorry for her.  Maaaaaan Naw!  You knew what it was.

Evelyn: A groupie ho' with Daddy Issues.  She's on there crying and carrying on.  Talking about her daddy is the reason why she made bad choices in men. Looking for love in all the wrong places.  And she still doing it.  So what was all that crying for? Nothin. I didn't feel any sympathy for her. And then trying to call other people groupies.  She should know because she was a groupie from the start.  Talking about she didn't know Kenny Anderson and Tami were married.  You know she was lying. She straight runs dudes. Riding on them until she gets where she wants to be.  And then runs out.

Tami:  All of the ghetto rolled up into one. Going around fighting people and carrying on.  That just don't make no sense.  She's been like that since Real World.

Suzi:  Oh Jesus, I don't really know what to say about her. She's just a wanna be.  She tries to stay neutral, but her mouth gets her into a whole lot of trouble. She has a lot to say when certain ones are not around, but when they come around, whoa whoa whoa...

Royce:  The little one. I can't remember what it was about her from the first season that set me off.  She doesn't hide any of what she do. Oh no.  She's out there trying to get it.  She's just trying to get hers no matter what.  Friend or no friend. She's getting hers the best way she know how. And she puts it out there.  The other ones try to hide it, try to play some "independent woman role" when they know they just used those dudes to get a come up.

Shaune:  She was sitting up there at that reunion trying to look like the Godfather or something. What was she doing with that Color Me Badd outfit on? But she sitting up there letting these women get her paid.

What's the title of the show?

Basketball Wives

And how many of those chicks on there are wives?

All you do is show how to step on the next B**** to get where you're going.  There's no loyalty, there's no real friendship, self respect, there's nothing positive going on.

You are sending out a signal.  And you don't know how it affects people who buy into it.

You try to make it look like you're a big victim, but I have yet to see a moment, where I should feel bad for you.  Because the messages you send out is the message he sent out.  I got this paper so I'm going to do what I want to do.  Whoever gets crushed in the process, so what?

That's the same as you.  You want people to look at you like a little delicate flower, but you got them thorns growing out your a**.

What kind of self respecting woman would get on TV, knowing other young women are watching this, and act like they do? Oh you telling a woman to go out and get screwed.  Oh you up here supposed to be a grown woman about your business, but all you do is party and drink all the time, talk about each other, and carry on like you don't have no D*** sense.

You're all minority women, and this is the image you want to give young girls? Please.  And you know the people watching, ain't the people in your position.  People with money like that and what not just look at you like whatever and go on.  But you teach young girls that this is the way to act.  This is the way to behave.  This is how you get a come up in society.  Party, backstab, sex whoever, runover whoever to get what you want.  That's something to teach the ones coming up behind you, ain't it?

You see how Evelyn talked to that young lady in the audience about those earrings, talking about "security, security" like she's all important...and then her little fan club cheered?  That's pathetic.  THAT'S the way you want to act?  THAT'S the message you want to send?
