Jerry Sandusky faces forty counts of sexual abuse

Ok.  I spoke about molestation and sexual abuse when I did the Domestic Violence articles last month...

I will never act to blame the victims, but  ifyou are not a heavy part of your child's life or in a stable way yourself, you set them up to be preyed upon.

There is so much I want to say about this, but I will censor myself...somewhat for now.  But you have to be proactive in having a healthy and safe environment for your children.

This sorry bastard, Jerry Sandusky (former coordinator for the "illustrious" Penn State University) created a football program for at risk youth.  Do your children fall into that category?  If so, why? What can YOU do to get them out of it? Read the indictment here: http://www.attorneygeneral.gov/uploadedFiles/Press/Sandusky-Grand-Jury-Presentment.pdf

He used this program to prey upon young boys. He raped them.  Molested them.  Performed oral sex on them. He kept this going for quite some time.  The boys ranged in ages from 10-14.  (I need to be graphic here...). When they attempted to resist his advances, he raped them.  He plied them with gifts and trips, according to the allegations.

Parents have to do whatever it takes to protect their children from falling prey to monsters.  You choose to have them, you have to make certain sacrifices.  AND you have to have a relationship with your child that if something like this were to happen, they can come to YOU and talk about it.

That's why I do all of this stuff with families and relationships.  I know how vulnerable a child can be in a chaotic home.

What pisses me off even more about this story is that no adult in the situation broke the silence.  A grad student saw this filthy piece of scum raping a ten year old boy in a Penn State shower and did not call the police!

He told Coach Paterno who...guess what? DID NOT CALL THE POLICE!!! Oh...but he won't be charged because he reported it to the AD.  The AD DOES NOT HAVE A PRISON, JAIL, DETENTION CENTER  or anything to put that monster in!!!

I swear this makes me beyond sick!

My homeboy, Noa, explains what probably went down with them not calling the cops:
You rarely see players turn on players...coaches...assistants...
whatever.  It's kind of like the military... Us vs you. we are all we got

Not saying it's right. But a 19  or20 yr old.. First thing he is going to do is take it to the "father" aka head coach.
This happens more often than people speak about. It is hard as heck for the victim to speak out on it. No one knows what that feels like unless they've been there.  And when the victim is a child (and yes 14 year olds are children, Eddie Long supporters....O_o) it is even more difficult.

Molestation, sexual assault, rape or whatever you want to call it damages a person's spirit not just his/her body.  There are people walking around you who have had their spirits destroyed and are so traumatized that they cannot even function properly.  They cope.  They deal.  They operate without living fully.

All because they were not protected from monsters, family, strangers, teachers, preachers and whomever else.
