The ridiculous drama that is VH1's Football Wives
I'm not going to go into a whole episode run down, you can catch that tomorrow on Blitz and Glam, a blog run by a colleague. But I do have a couple of things to say about the show.
Of course everyone wants to grab on to snippets of the fame and fortune of others. That is why the show will be successful. You feel like you're living vicariously through the fortunes of the "wives". Yeah, yeah...I get it.
But seriously. These are just every day people, put in certain positions either by choice, force or fate. They are no better than you and no worse. Which brings me to the point of writing this post.
The "Frienemies" on the show, Chanita Foster and Dawn N (can't exactly remember her last name), give me a gigantic headache each time I watch it. I don't know if it is the editing, the acting or the real sides of them being shown. But I can say, if it is the real...I don't blame Pilar Sanders for basically putting them into their places each time they come for her.
They along with the wife who has the big Texas blonde hair and phony Christian values, are the reasons why you cannot befriend some women. They display every negative stereotype of women there is to be displayed. JEALOUSY, HATRED, FOUL MOUTHS, BITTERNESS, ANGER, LACK OF SELF CONTROL, DRAMATIC, GREEDY AND PHONY.
My question for Mrs. Foster, why would you expect someone to come see you in the hospital after you treated them like garbage? Mrs. Sanders doesn't owe you anything. And if I were your enemy, I wouldn't want your crazy acting behind anywhere near my hospital room. With the way you behave, you'd probably try to unplug me. And yes, you are very jealous of Pilar's station in life. Otherwise you wouldn't bring up the fact that her husband is successful. You wish yours was as successful. You may be the very reason he isn't with the way you behave and carry on. So check that. I don't know your past or your prior issues, but you can't beat down every one you meet. Or force them into submission. You're going to run across the wrong person one day and get checked. Maybe you've been hurt? Abused? Heck I don't know. Maybe it's the aggression of being a former athlete. I can understand. But seriously...work that ish out. Or you're going to get a rude awakening. God don't like ugly.
And Mrs. N...seriously? Throwing things? Maybe you should look toward working full time instead of part timing it. Be around more adults...and cut down on the booze? I'll blame your antics on the alcohol. But all that whining and carrying on? As a fellow attorney, I wouldn't want you representing any clients in legal trouble. Are you going to toss a cup of water at the judge if you lose a case? Is it all an act? I can't tell. You and Mrs. Foster spend so much time worrying about what Mrs. Sanders is doing, meanwhile she's living the life you want to have. Why not get on her level? Seriously. Why spend all that time downing someone who clearly has what you want? It will get you nowhere fast. All that cattiness and foolishness should have been left in high school. At least that's where I left it, and the chicks who act like you and Mrs. Foster.
You want to know why some women can't get along? Look at Mrs. Foster and Mrs. N. That is why. You don't have to talk behind people's backs. Fight about everything. Try to belittle people and call names to get ahead in life. You shouldn't worry about what the next chick is doing with her life. Celebrate someone else's blessings for a change, and maybe you'll get just as blessed. Being ungrateful, envious and down right evil will leave you right where you are...MISERABLE.
And the whole clique thing? STUPID. You're a grown arse woman. Running in a crowd accomplishes nothing. Especially when the crowd includes some savage baracudas!
Thus far, Melani Ismael manages to stay calm, cool, and out of the mess like a grown woman should. Pilar Sanders defends herself like a true champ! The sad thing is, she shouldn't even have to defend herself for making choices she wants to make and doing what she wants to do in the face of two of the most childish, jealous, hypocritical people I've seen on T.V. in a long time.
I hope a lot of the drama is for T.V. and isn't how Mrs. Foster or Mrs. N live their real lives.

We've all been jealous. Myself included. Difference is, since I've grown up, I decide to acknowledge it, see it for what it is, and get rid of it without acting on it.
Seems like you got a little pissy over this post. Why is that?
All of the profanity is unnecessary, but you do what you do. That's the beauty of being people. We get to say what we want and do what we want. But it all comes with consequences.
How you handle them is up to you.
As for Pilar, some people are just stand-offish. Not uppity or snooty. They just don't warm up to people automatically. Too often we try to look at people as though they should be just like us.
What I didn't like was the attacks. Every show it seems that Pilar is being bashed, not because of something she did, but because of what she didn't do that everyone feels she should have done. You can't control people, you may influence them, but not control them.
I hate when people blow up my bathroom. I have a no # 2 rule for guests. (No, I'm serious lol). It isn't from me thinking I'm better than anyone, I try to be as humble as possible, it's because I hate sharing bathrooms...I just think it's gross.
Beyond that, I don't know how true or false that bathroom accusation is with the show. Also, apparently she didn't know any of these women before the show. Would you allow strangers to roam around your house? There's always an explanation for everything. It's easier to make assumptions than to ask questions. But it's better to ask questions.
