Congratulations TFH Bow Ties

Me with straight hair. Still au naturale.

Yesterday was somewhat busy for me. I had work as usual, burning the candle at both ends. I also had to get a trim on my hair. I try to do it every four months or so. To be quite honest, I would prefer just pulling this joint back into a ponytail and going on about my business :)

While I sat with my hair plaited like Miss Celie from The
Color Purple, I read Uptown Magazine.

Anyway... Last night my mentee had her bow tie launch/trunk show for TFH Bow Ties. She, as I told you before, is also an aspiring law student and fellow blogger. You may remember some past blogs when I went fabric shopping with her.

It was at a very cute spot in Uptown Charlotte called Kanvas. Kanvas Gallery, proper name, mixes art, culture and cuisine together in a chic spot in east Uptown Charlotte. I had never been there before, but I like it.
