Dear Rush Limbaugh and Patricia Heaton: Ignorance is deadly

Rush Limbaugh (r) spewed hatred and ignorance toward 3L Georgetown
Law student, Sandra Fluke (l), who testified to Congress about her friend
who lost an ovary due to ovarian cysts.

Rush Limbaugh is paid to spew it.  Patricia Heaton has no problem tweeting it. IGNORANCE.

Rush Limbaugh went on one of his hog snorting rants a week or two ago, against Sandra Fluke.  Fluke, a Georgetown University Law student, testified before Congress about the need for birth control pills' coverage under insurance.  She relayed a story about a college mate who developed ovarian cysts and was told to take birth control pills in order to fight them off.

Fluke's friend could not get the needed birth control pills from Georgetown University, a Catholic institution, and ended up having an ovary removed because of an enlarged cyst. The debate was all over the religious exception to employers not covering contraception under their insurance plans.

Limbaugh called Fluke a slut, and said taxpayers should not be forced to pay for her escapades.  If taxpayers were to pay for birth control pills, then the women should tape their trysts and put them on the web for the world to see. Limbaugh also called Fluke a prostitute.

Then to add to Limbaugh's ignorance, the NYDailyNews.com reports on commentary from Heaton:
"Hey GTown Gal: How about only having sex on Wednesday? (Hump day!)," the right-leaning actress tweeted last Thursday, in a post preserved by several liberal bloggers.
"If every Tweaton sent Georgetown Gal one condom, her parents wouldn't have to cancel basic cable, & she would never reproduce — sound good?" Heaton also posted.

It all boils down to unabashed IGNORANCE!  Oh, now Rush Limbaugh has apologized.  Why? Because he lost several sponsors and two radio stations have dropped his show. (Count of advertisers leaving Rush is up to twelve according to CNN.)  After the backlash on Rush, Heaton took to Twitter to apologize as well.  All of a sudden she became "Christ like", and apologized for her statements about Fluke...but not for her ignorance.

I don't like getting all into my personal business, but sometimes you have to stand up for what is right.  As a fifteen year old virgin raised in a very devoutly religious home, who was quite naive I must say, I had the most harrowing experience to me.  I started having extremely sharp pains in my abdomen.

Those pains were so devastating because I didn't know what they were, and I mean they were bad.  I would double over in pain.  My mom took me to the doctor, and then I had to go to a gynecologist.  It was embarrassing and scary.

Imagine being that young and not even knowing much about what a gynecologist does. Shoot, I thought the only people who went to them were girls who were "fast" and women who were pregnant.  Seeing as I was neither, I was shook like jook.

I won't go into the gory details...but the doctor discovered that I had the same issues as Fluke's friend.  So he prescribed Ortho Tri-Cyclen aka birth control and some vitamin E.  I took them long enough for the problems to subside.

I'm fine now, and haven't had any issues in my adult life. Thank God.  I'm not big on medication at all. Most people know that about me.  I would rather find some home remedy to take care of the issue.  Nor am I a champion of being "loose" LOL.  But God gave us all common sense.  Some things are necessary.

Heaton claims she's okay with medical uses for birth control pills, and THINKS those uses are covered by insurance...but she doesn't KNOW that to be true.  She also did not address it with her initial rants, and piss poor attempts at what she calls humor.

Where are the outcries against Viagra being covered by insurance?  Oh...I guess sense Limbaugh and Mrs. Heaton's man probably need them, you won't hear an outcry.
