YBBG Detox
The Detox and vitamins |
I mean if she can stunt with her fitness and bright glowing skin...why not I? At my age, I really have no excuses when it come to health and well-being. I see women with children getting it in and looking great, why not I?
Mind you, I go through this every year. I get right and tight in the spring, then go back to hibernating in the winter.
List of ingredients in the detox. |
I'm all about home remedies, thanks to my mama for the most part, and my country upbringing :). So I'm kinda cool with this stuff here that I purchased at Planet Beach back in February. I had a LivingSocial deal for some of their spa treatments, and talked to the manager about their detox. The Detoxify stuff has a bunch of herbs in it, so I'm not really concerned by it at all. The only thing I hate is swallowing six of them per day, 3 in the morning, 3 at night.

List of nutrients |
People keep telling me to make sure I take them with food, but that's the thing, I do. It doesn't matter. I could eat a steak with potatoes and still get nausea. I just have to deal with it, and take the darn things.
I'm also including a protein smoothie with my detox. No, I do not plan on continuing to do this all the time. For one, who does that except body builders and people who do fitness for a living? I mean, I plan on doing it every three months to kick start my body.
Vanilla protein powder. |
Choban Greek Yogurt, non-fat. |
Mango nectar. |
So the serving size is two scoops of this vanilla protein powder. I seriously try to kill the powdery after taste with things like mango nectar and frozen fruit of various kinds, and a handful of carrots.
I also include some Greek yogurt, I figure it should be good for something. Ha!
I chug down one of these smoothie's a day as a meal replacement. I haven't become hungry after drinking it so far, so I guess that's cool.
Smoothie in my Magic Bullet. |
My homeboy said he wants to get the Ninja blender thingy, but I've been a Magic Bullet loyalist for some time now.
I also made a decision to do something active that I actually like. So, I bought a basketball. I haven't had a basketball in years. And you may be shocked to know that I never owned my own basketball.
Nope. I always had my dad's or uncles' basketballs around. This is my first one, even though I played basketball for years. I went to look for it yesterday. I really wanted a pink one (sue me...ha! I have pink boxing gloves... lol). But this one will do just fine. I'm going to use it on my runs around the neighborhood. So if you see a lady dribbling a ball, it may be me.
