Franklin Graham is not really a Christian

Franklin Graham recently gave an "apology" for questioning
the faith beliefs of President Obama.

How can Franklin Graham be a Christian? He supports infidelity.  "Thou shalt not commit adultery" is one of the Ten Commandments. Look at the candidates he's shown support for:

  • Newt Gingrich:  He's on wife number three, who was mistress number two or three or whatever...
  • Donald Trump:  He's on his third wife, and cheated on his first with his second.
He comes off as though he's driven by power and money.  And the good book says, the love of money is the root of all evil. The Bible also says it is harder for a rich man to get into heaven than it is a camel to go through the eye of a needle.  It is further prescribed by Christ that we shall feed the hungry, clothed the naked, and give to the poor.
  • Graham says that the rich are not to be chastised to give to the poor.
  • He supported Trump who owns casinos and has filed bankruptcy more than once.
He's smoked, drank, chased women and even tried weed (aka marijuana)!! What kind of Christian is that? O_D.

Although Franklin Graham, believes that President Obama inherited the Islamic faith, most Christians believe that our faith walk comes from a choice, and it is free to anyone who chooses it. (Not to mention the fact that Obama's paternal grandfather was first Christian, then turned Muslim, and his father had no known religion at all...). And according to President Obama, he chose to accept Christ after he felt the call on his own life.

Then top it all off with Franklin Graham, he created strife in his own family by having a talking cow erected at the Billy Graham Library (which is actually close to where I live, though I've never been there...).  Wasn't Bael a golden calf? I'm just saying...

The funny thing is...Franklin Graham says he's a Christian.  Maybe even funnier is, I actually believe him. Though he may think he has a litmus test for Christianity, he may want to see if he would actually meet the test himself.  I don't think he would.

The issue I have with Franklin Graham is...he acts like a lot of Christians (or other religious folks), but he does not come off very Christ-like.

With all his outwardly supposed good deeds (he's the force behind Samaritan's purse)... there is that heart of a servant that doesn't quite appear.  There is a humility that seems lacking.  There is an abundance of love that seems in short supply. There is an acceptance of people that seems absent. I have no litmus test for Christianity.  The prescription for salvation in Christianity is Confession. Acknowledgment. Repentance.

It isn't my place to say who has or who has not done that.  Nor is it his to qualify and/or quantify Christianity for anyone else.  My purpose is to show the goodness of God through my life. I either do that or I don't.  What I do that doesn't meet those standards, I will have to answer to God for when my time comes.

The same is true for Trump, Gingrich, Obama, and Franklin Graham.  I just pray we all do what is in God's will and positively affect those around us.
