Christopher Dorner is gaining fan support

Christopher Dorner's wheareabouts remain unknown. |
Dorner was accused of making false statements and fired from his position. In his 11 page manifesto, he states that he was virtually railroaded and black balled for daring to go against the police brotherhood or crossing the blue line...
A manhunt is underway to find Dorner after he was accused of killing a retired officer's daughter, her fiancé, and an on duty officer. The entire saga that started many years ago, came to a head a few days ago. Dorner is seeking vengeance and vindication. He says he wants his name cleared and will hunt everyone associated with his firing and their families. He said the killing will stop when they come forth and apologize. From CBSNews.com:
"The saga began Sunday night, when Monica Quan and her fiance, Keith Lawrence, were found shot in their car at a parking structure at their condominium in Irvine."
Dorner's manifesto is also a very long suicide note, as he states he will not survive once this ordeal is over. Although the media classifies his writings as the rantings of a madman, many commenters on the articles are championing Dorner's cause.
It seems like Dorner is becoming a folk hero. But we must not forget the lives of Quan and Lawrence, and the officer.
Dorner's initial cause of standing up for the disenfranchised was and is a righteous one, yet this new undertaking will be the end of a man who showed the heartened care about individual citizens that we all wish every officer would show. It has also destroyed the lives of people who did not deserve to have this happen to them. That may be Dorner's purpose...to show officers what losing an innocent family member feels like. I don't know, but it isn't right.
Let me add this ongoing drama has ripped the scab off the infection that is apparently still festering in the LAPD and other police departments around the country. Since Dorner's saga, police in and around Torrance, California have shot at innocent citizens who they thought were in a similar vehicle as Dorner's. It shows the "shoot first, ask questions later" problem with officers.
This is crazy. He hasn't been found yet and is carrying major heat according to ABCNews.com
