BET's The Game: Episode 5 RECAP

"Baby Mama Drama"

Kelly, Melanie and Tasha Mack:  They are all sitting around taking shots. And drinking and parlaying. Mel tells them that Janay has Derwin jumping through hoops.

They cut to Janay Derwin and DJ.  Janay is literally telling Derwin to jump through a hula-hoop.

Derwin and Melanie:  Derwin is tired. Melanie asks if Janay is going to allow them to take DJ to Disney. Derwin says he doesn't know...the way Janay has him in and out of court all the time.  But he will ask.

Dante and Tasha Mack:  They are at a five star restaurant. Tasha says she needs to get a Mazarade. Tasha tries to pay for the meal, and Dante says you don't have to pay for his dinner. He says that she shouldn't have to go to fine dining three nights a week.  Tasha tells him she's got cash flow...and can spend whatever she likes. He says she's hood rich and needs to calm down and stop trying to throw her ballin' in people's faces all the time.  Why can't they go to Chilli's sometimes?  She said I ball all I want and she balls with or without anyone else. So he tells her fine, she can be with her balling tonight, he's out. So he gets up and leaves.

Derwin and Janay:  Derwin is grilling in a wifebeater at Janay's house. (oh heck naw!!!) Janay is up there with a long weave and a bikini.  She says she's contacting Derwin's grandma to get pictures of Derwin when he was a baby so she can put them in a book for DJ. Derwin says it's cool as long as she doesn't comment about his rusty or knobby or something knee caps...yadda yadda. Then Derwin asks if he can take DJ to Disney Land. And Janay tells him not if the DNA police (Melanie is going to be there...). He says she's not going to be around because she's going to a medical conference. Janay says, what for, she's not even a real doctor... (Oh but you are a real groupie aren't you heiffa?)...Derwin says well technically she is a real doctor, she's just not practicing. Janay says "No you aren't defending her at my house." Then Derwin cracks a joke about Melanie. (Ummm...dude...you're on a slippery slope...and Janay is behind you pushing you down the oil slick!)

Javon and TeeTee:  Javon is eating at TeeTee's chicken truck. He asks TeeTee if he can endorse the truck for free wings.  Derwin shows up and TeeTee says there's a man who can endorse my wings.  Derwin orders wings. And TeeTee says are these for Janay? He asks TeeTee how he knows. TeeTee says that's the way Janay orders...and he knows because he keeps a profile on all of his repeat clients.  Javon says wait a minute...so you got two wives and an illegitimate child...he learned how to get it in on the field and be a pimp!  Derwin tells them it's no big deal he can buy his baby mama some lunch.  TeeTee asks if Melanie knows because Derwin can't use his establishment as a cover for his infidelity. Derwin brushes it off and gets the wings.

Tasha, Melanie, Kelly:  They are out for drinks and lunch. Tasha tells them she bought a white on white Mazerade.  Tasha is talking about balling again. And how she blows money fast and had to put Dante in his place, letting him know she can take care of herself.  Because Dante tried to tell her how to spend her money.

 Kelly says money means power, she knows because she was married to Jason Pitts. Melanie says Tasha is only trying to take the man role, but she needs to soften up and let Dante take control sometimes.

Janay shows up with one of her friends. And they try to play Melanie.  Melanie apologizes to Janay. Melanie thanks Janay for letting DJ come to Disney Land with them. Janay says that Derwin never said anything about Melanie going. Melanie says of course he did, because it was her idea in the first place. Janay says well you'd better check your man because when he was over to the house he said nothing about it. Melanie tells her to stop lying, and he probably didn't tell her because she keeps dragging him to court. Janay says that they never go to court, he's always over at her house playing in her pool and playing house with her and her son. Melanie walks off and calls Janay a B****.

Melanie and Derwin:  Melanie asks Derwin if they can catch a matinee the next day.  Derwin says yeah..then oooh wait no...you know I have court on Wednesdays.  And court is always crazy. Always full...they don't have valet or anything. Mel is like oh ok. Why don't we just stay in and watch a movie tonight? He's like okay cool.  Melanie grabs her laptop and is like...ok here we go... And on the screen is a video of Derwin in Janay's pool playing with her and DJ.  Derwin says, wait Mel, I can explain...

Tasha and Dante:  Dante is playing a video game.  Tasha comes in and brings him food.  Tasha is like here ya go, breakfast for dinner...no bells and whistles.  Dante keeps playing the game.  And Tasha goes off on him. Then Dantte goes off on her. He tells her when she's in a relationship and loves someone, you have to think about them first sometimes. She says "you love me?" Dante says of course he does otherwise he wouldn't put up with her foolishness.  Then they make up and she asks to learn to play the game. They end up cuddling on the sofa and he teaches her to play.

Derwin and Janay: Derwin beats down Janay's door. He says you must think you're real fancy posting that video of us on that gossip site. Janay was like your woman wanted crazy, I gave her crazy. Janay goes off and says Derwin was playing house with her while running back acting like nothing ever happened with them when with Melanie.  Derwin said I was just doing what I had to do to see my son. Janay tells him to stop playing victim she's tired of him mistreating her. 

She's in tears. She said she never did anything to him. She never cheated on him, she never did anything wrong...all she did was fall in love with his sorry self, and have his baby.  Yet here she is getting the short end of the stick while he runs off and has his happy love story with Melanie and plays the daddy role and family life with her and DJ. Derwin says they will have to go to the lawyers and have them straighten things out. He says Janay, you're right...and I'm sorry. She says you're always sorry!

Melanie and Derwin:  Derwin came home and says that he knows Melanie is mad at him.  She says "Did you sleep with her?" He tells her no.  She said okay...I made veal  some'n or other...come eat.  Derwin has a bewildered look on his face. He asks her if she spit in the food. She says I thought about doing a lot of things. Spitting in it...throwing it on the floor...Peppering it with glass...but from all the things I learned at church I know I have to forgive you for your willful deceit.  And you have to finally forgive me for mine. Derwin says is it that easy? She says NO! But if we're going to make THIS work...we have to start somewhere.  Derwin says, dang we're real messed up right now. Melanie agrees...then says...by the way. I did spit in it.

Tasha and Malik: Tasha brings Malik some wings.  She says they aren't TeeTee's. She asks Malik if anyone has been trying to play in his booty. He's like ma' this is rehab not prison! Tasha says she wanted to check on him. He thanks her and she leaves.
