Shopping for appearances

Let me just be real... I like being comfortable... Quite honestly when I shop, it is for me and not for keeping up appearances.

Just like my hair is wash and go, often my clothes are too. Typically, I could care less about being impressive when I go to events. I know that when my mama reads this, she's going to shake her head in shame.

It's okay mama, I'm trying to do better.

Today, I stepped over to the post office to mail off some court documents, which happens to be adjacent to one of my favorite boutiques, Ivy & Leo.

I am making a couple of appearances soon with the whole blogging thing, and decided to shop for that purpose.

This time, I actually stopped to think about how others might view me in the chosen attire...

So I purchased the high-low shirt on the left, a striped skirt that is not pictured and some sunglasses.

Hmmm...would this be photo op worthy? Will someone stop and ask where I purchased it? Who will give me an appreciative, "Girl you did that!" look?

Meh...who cares? LOL
Kidding...I'm working on it...
