You know you're getting old when...

Ha! This is funny, and true!
I swear, once you get past thirty, time flies by! LOL  I haven't hit mid thirties yet, but dang...my memory is starting to fade, and I have almost no knowledge of popular culture. So last Thursday, I stopped by the No Limit Larry and the Morning Maddhouse Show at CBS radio.  I hadn't been by in quite a while, as I've been busy with a lot of other things. (Trying to get my career together...).

Sunshine released new music last year
 and has Sunshine's
Situations on Power98FM every Thursday
morning.
Sunshine (Anderson) was doing her Situations topic, which was quite a doozy.  A mother was so fed up with the way her across the street neighbor treated her son, that she eventually mushed the lady in the face, and has to now go to court. The old me would have said, "if someone had treated MY CHILD like that, you'd better had called in the national guard!" (No, I don't have children... O_D) Ahhh...but in my old age, I'm getting soft.  Though I understood the mother's reaction, I felt it was best that the two adults get together and reach a cordial agreement on how they will behave.

I didn't realize how long it had been since I stopped by the station, until Sunshine told me the last time we'd seen each other was around Christmas time.  I said well dang...time has a way of rushing passed you.

Then...the true sign of my age popped up when this young lady came into the studio for an interview, and I had no earthly idea who she was. (So I'm sitting there like...who the heck is that with the earring-nose chain and the boots with the fur? I know it's March, but honey it is hot as hades! LOL)

She was a pretty little itty-bitty thing (I think she's more than a foot shorter than me), and a sweetheart, and I still had no earthly idea who she was.. So I sat there listening as she talked about her upcoming mixtape, Nobody's B****, and just chilled.

Then someone said she's working on an album with Drake and Lil Wayne... (I don't really listen to either...again...old age...) and she is the sister of D. Woods who once sang with Danity Kane.

Noleezy and Shanell (I "borrowed"
this pic from @noleezy)

Her name is Shanell and she started out as a back up dancer for a few artists (No, not just a booty shaking girl, she's classically trained in several disciplines), wrote songs for Ne-yo, and then started working on her own music. I think she is signed to YMCMB.

The video below is the promo for her upcoming work.  Quite "artsy".  Which explains the ensemble she wore at the studio on Thursday.
