Sandusky GUILTY

The jury found Sandusky GUILTY... and the crowd outside of the courtroom is cheering.

Guilty on 45 of 48 counts.

I'm watching on HLN (Head Line News/CNN). I didn't follow every bit of testimony in the Sandusky trial because I just couldn't bear hearing it. I heard something tonight that ripped my heart out, and made me sick to my stomach.  I am crying as type this.

The testimony of Victim 9.  He is 18, and just graduated from high school. He said he was raped to the point of bleeding, and would throw his underwear away.  He repeatedly told his mother he did not want to go back to Sandusky, but she would force him to go.

The mother testified that she would make her son go with this sick bastard because he didn't have a father, and felt that he was privileged to have this man paying attention to him.

I pray strongly that this poor child will be healed. And parents you need to pay attention to your children...stop ignoring them...this could be happening right in your household.

Mike McQueary was a key witness

Sandusky's attorney, Joe Amendola, spoke after the verdict, basically claiming he was rushed and his continuances were denied. That he didn't call Sandusky because his adopted son, Matt Sandusky, may have been used as a rebuttal witness.  Matt has recently stated that Sandusky abused him as well.

Matt was taken from his biological mother, who fought in court to keep him, and given to the Sanduskys.  Pennsylvania Attorney General, Linda Kelly of Belfont PA, spoke passionately about the case, saying that the victims recurring statements were "Who would believe a kid?". She said that they, the prosecutors, would believe a kid.

AG Kelly said this type of case is one that thrives in darkness and secrecy, which allows it to go on for so long, that maybe with these brave young ones stepping forward, others will find the strength to do so.

Someone interrupted her yelling out from the crowd. She told him she will answer the question after she finished.

AG Kelly said sexual predators can be anyone, coaches, educators, executives, pillars of the community.  She went on to say that Sandusky used Second Mile Charity to troll for his victims who were already suffering from broken homes, emotional problems, learning disabilities and from disadvantaged homes.

AG Kelly said that people who do not report suspected child abuse are especially deplorable and should be held responsible for not reporting it.

She said child sexual abuse is a law enforcement issue, a family issue, and a community issue...That children should be protected and monsters prosecuted (I said monster...). Attorney General Kelly said it is an ongoing investigation and more charges may be brought later.

Someone from the audience screamed out the names of Penn State officials and said let's get Tom Corbin...
