The big piece of chicken

Fathers Day is Sunday, have you shopped for your dad's gift yet? Sometime's I think the father's role has become the most diminished position in our society, and it is sad. They even have Fathers Day cards for mothers. WTH?!

So daddies cannot even get a holiday exclusive to them? As one gent said:

RB:  All us Fathers really want is 1) the big piece of chicken and 2) "exclusive" recognition on Fathers Day, which is OUR DAY!!! Is that really too much to ask for?!? (o_O)

No sir, that is not too much to ask! At some point fathers need to feel important. Not only do they deserve the big piece of chicken, but they deserve a lot more respect and love than they get from society. 

I actually know guys who are exclusively taking care of their children, without anyone's assistance, public or otherwise.

I once went out with a guy who raised his son from birth. I cannot speak for his boyfriend skills (LOL...kidding, he was cool), but as a father, he was top notch!


Granted, some people were not able to have their fathers in their lives. So it may be understandable that Fathers Day is a sore spot for them.  However, some folks don't have their mothers in their lives, and we do not turn Mothers Day into a celebration of fathers who do it all, or grandparents who do it all...now do we?

With all the great things a father does, he deserves the biggest piece of chicken plus more! Take for example this father who rescued his daughter from a sexual predator:

Daddies are mechanics, banks, super heroes, jar openers, human swings, libraries of useful and funny information, coaches, and many other things that kids, young and old, need! So, here's to you daddies all over the world! You get two big pieces of chicken! :) lol
