Tall girls need heels too

The other day a lady posted that tall women should not wear high heels because it doesn't look right.  Yes, I  gave that mess a major SIDE EYE O_----D ... Of course she was vertically challenged, so I suppose that is why.

I am all for anyone wearing tall shoes, midgets or giants...it does not matter. My homegirl is like 5'1" and she actually inspired me with her out of control shoe closet. So when we roomed together years ago, I realized, I had to up my shoe game.  Luckily the shoe industry has changed so much that you can get very cute shoes at reasonable prices. I am good for strolling the aisles of Payless and DSW.  I also travel down the lanes of Off 5th Ave, and peruse Zappos.

My favorite shoes are from Jessica Simpson's collections, both the lower cost JS by Jessica Simpson and her signature Jessica Simpson line.  When I put on a very high heel, I stand well over six feet tall, and I mean WELLLLLL over.  Shoot in just a three inch heel, I'm six feet.

Growing up, I was not a shoe fiend.  Not in the least. I owned a pair of brown dress shoes, black dress shoes, and some sandals.  The rest were sneakers and other "kicks".  I didn't wear girly clothes much, so there was no point in having girly shoes. PLUS, I had big feet.

Designers really did not make cute shoes in my size, not affordable ones anyway. I always wondered what models wore, since they were tall too. Then I did a short stint mall modeling, only to find out that the big footed girls were forced to squeeze their feet into smaller shoes.  HOW CRUEL!
