Eddie L. Long's wife files for divorce

TJ Holmes from CNN tweeted that Eddie L. Long's wife was filing for divorce.  She released a statement saying that as of December 1, 2011, she authorized her attorneys to initiate divorce proceedings.  Her statement posted on CBSatlanta.com reads as follows:

"After a great deal of deliberation and prayer, I have decided to terminate my marriage to Bishop Eddie L. Long.  Accordingly, I authorized my attorneys to file for divorce on December 1, 2011. It is my sincere hope that this matter can be resolved expeditiously, harmoniously, and fairly.  I ask that you respect my privacy and that of my family, as my attorneys and I have agreed that we will not try this case in the media, and I do not intend to make any further statements concerning this matter.I also ask that the public pray for my entire family during this difficult period of transition.Thank you, and may God continue to bless and keep each of you."

I think we all saw this coming.  His first wife divorced him amid allegations of physical abuse.  I was just wondering how long this lady would stay with him after the allegations of child molestation and perversion.

PAUSE! PAUSE! PAUSE! It seems that the Mrs. has had a change of heart...

Yeah... so this morning she put out the statement saying she's divorcing.  This afternoon she put out a statement saying she believes her husband and is staying with him.  (So what didn't she believe him about before, that she now believes him about? I'on know... Do you?)

By early afternoon, she was announcing a stunning reversal.

"Upon prayerful reflection, I have reconsidered and plan to withdraw my petition for divorce from my husband, Bishop Eddie L. Long," she said in an emailed statement bearing the New Birth logo. "I love my husband. I believe in him and admire his strength and courage."

I just pray for God to intervene in whatever the mess is that is going on down in Lithonia, GA.

According to Blackmediascoop.com... the divorce is back on! Huh? Say what? Seems like the poor Mrs. Long is as confused as her husband...
