So, you know I like to bring you insight from men.  I talk to men almost every single day.  We have real discussions and this blog is based on my friendships with men.  Because I have such close guy friends, and grew up a tomboy, we tend to have the same opinions on a lot of things.  So check out what Dom "Breeze" Brown had to say about relationship statuses and the misuse of certain terminology.  I find it quite refreshing and true!

RELATIONSHIPS DEFINED BY DOM BROWN:

Boo thang = not good enough to be girlfriend/boyfriend but you the best thing I can find until further notice

Girlfriend/Boyfriend = I hold you in high esteem and I love this exclusive relationship and hold it in high regard...if things pan out imma marry you woman/dude!

Hubby/wifey = imma get everything from you a husband/wife does and marry somebody else 99.9% of the time...thanks for the good time though......SUCKER lol

Wife/husband = I love you endlessly....I wouldn't have taken this glorious step with you if I had any doubts. You are the woman/man of my dreams and I thank God I wake up to you every morning! I know things won't always be easy but I promise I ain't going NOWHERE and we gonna work thru it all. Endless love, mutual respect, and harmony on every level....that's how close we are!

That goes to all the confused folks....cuz lawd knows some of ya'll need the "Breeze" definitions to get thru life....help me help you!

Some of ya'll misusing these terms is why we can't have nice things!

I pray these clarifications are only necessary for my younger readers.  HOWEVER, I know there are older people who have been confused about relationship statuses for some time.  And they are passing the confusion down to the younger generations. SMH (Get it together people!!!).  Thank you Dom! I greatly appreciate the clarity.
