Trash talking

Michael was fine back in his day, wasn't he?! LOL

I don't know why they pretend that trash talking is not part of sports.  It is!  They try to take away the showmanship and the art of getting inside someone's head by saying it is "unsportsmanlike".  Unsportsmanlike behavior is what Suh of the Detroit Lions did when he kicked buddy on the field.  It is not what ol' boy did when he clowned Plaxico with his touchdown dance.

It is part of the game.  Sports are like mini battles.  You have to get inside the enemy's head.  I love trash talk.  It takes a cunning and witty person to craft such verbiage that can completely throw a competitor off his/her game.

I say things and you will just have to forgive me later LOL...
Most people know that I have ZERO limits on what I say when I'm talking trash.  That does not stop them from getting their feelings hurt, but it does make them more willing to forgive me later.  Do I mean EVERYTHING I say? At the time... Yeah.  Overall? No not really.  But that's the beauty of it.  There is no emotion in it.  When you get emotional...YOU...L-O-S-E!

The key is to get the other person emotional, whilst you keep your cool.  When you don't care about what is said to you or what you're saying...you keep your cool.

When you care...you get emotional.  People say Michael Jordan was THE WORST BEST trash talker in the game.  Most folks look at MJ as the "I wanna be like Mike" happy go lucky dude.  I don't know why, because if you paid attention, he rarely ever says two words.  You don't know MJ! LOL

But that gives him an advantage.  You think you know Mike to be one person, so when he trash talks it completely messes you up.  People thought Gary Payton was the supreme trash talker of the NBA in the 90s...but even Payton will tell you that MJ was beastly with the trash talk.

I still think Payton may have edged him out...He had a bit more of "I don't care" in him. LOL
