Virginia Tech campus on lock down: suspect is White male in gray sweats maroon hoodie
TWO CONFIRMED DEAD, ONE IS A POLICE OFFICER
Virginia Tech has put the campus on lock down after reports of shots fired. They are looking for a white male in gray sweatpants, maroon hoodie, a gray hat with neon green trim carrying a backpack heading toward McComas.
What allegedly happened
Suspect was stopped in routine traffic stop by officer. He and officer exchange fire, and officer killed. The suspect then shoots a person in the parking lot, and leaves on foot. First responders attempt to revive officer to no avail.
The transit system has been suspended until further notice and students are told to stay where they are! If you see the suspect call 911. Visit www.vt.edu for further info.
As you recall a gunman killed 32 members of the Va Tech student body and faculty in April of 2007. Please seek shelter.
A police officer has been shot. A potential second victim is reported at the Cage lot. Stay indoors. Secure in place.

Reports of police activity all over campus, now including outside Squires Student Center
To be clear, latest reports of suspect were near Performing Arts building moving to Torgersen, but no arrest has been made.

There are multiple reports of shots and police activity, but most pressing appears to be in Squires
Students being moved to secure room is Squires Student Center. The Collegiate Times has been evacuated from its office, still has Internet

VT releases report: Suspect killed police officer in Coliseum Lot, then fled toward Cage. Second victim was killed in parking lot.
LAST UPDATE
No threat on VT campus. Students may resume normal activities. The exam schedule will be modified. Not sure whether or not the second victim in the shooting is the actual shooter.
