Sheree Whitfield and the fallacy of the victimized custodial parent

Bob Whitfield and ex-wife Sheree Whitfield

Everybody knows I watch reality tv.  I saw something on Episode 7 of season 4 of Real Housewives of Atlanta that kinda ticked me off.

Of course some of the women on the show are good for perpetrating frauds and acting all grander than thou.  Whether they are financing their lavish lifestyles with other women's husband's money (Kim Zolciak) or buying stuff they cannot afford in two life times (Sheree Whitfield), they are good for frontin'.

I know there's a saying about faking it until you make it, but what about when you have children?  I know there is nothing real about reality tv...at least not in my opinion.  But how far would you go?

The thing I saw on episode 7 was Sheree's kids sleeping on air mattresses in a two bedroom apartment.  Meanwhile Sheree already had a luxury car magically disappear.  She rocks YSL and Louboutins and buys Porches and Range Rovers, while carrying Hermes bags.

Then you want to talk about child support? Okay...the purpose of child support is not so that you can continue living a champagne life on a wine cooler budget.  Maybe it was all for television.  I hope so.  Air mattresses are only suitable for folks who don't have bags that cost more than a lot of folk's rent.

Being the custodial parent does not always mean you are the BETTER parent... Ask the kids.  I've been in situations where the custodial parent did nothing more than use the kids as leverage or meal tickets.  It really does happen and it is a shame.

Allegedly Sheree hasn't worked in a while...I know the economy is tough, but she makes money from the show and appearances... How about getting the young man a decent haircut and the children somewhere to lay their heads that is safe and secure? Why worry about wearing Dolce & Gabbana to court?

I hate that whole scenario.  You're super dope fresh while your kids are a dusty mess? What kind of world do you live in where that's okay? :(
